Experiences of a Christian Travel Agent-Consultant

After graduating from Forest Hills Christian High School in Decatur (Atlanta) Georgia, Beth entered Bob Jones University, in Greenville, South Carolina. Upon earning her degree (B.A., Humanities), she worked at the University as a travel agent for Unusual Tours. She remained with Unusual Tours for 16 years, the last thirteen as Manager. Beth worked very closely with Dr. Bob Jones, Jr as well as Dr Bob Jones, III.

In 2001 Beth moved back to Atlanta to realize a dream of an Agency dedicated to Short Term Mission Travel. She had several opportunities to partner with large established companies;  Beth chose AAA Travel, the travel arm of the famous Auto Club. After vetting by Triple A, Beth began her Independent Agent relationship with this universally respected organization. MissionTripAirFare began ticketing Short Term Mission groups in February 2002. 2003 saw a tripling of missionaries sent around the world.

Value of Experience

More than anything else, Travel consulting is 'Experience Intensive'. There must be knowledge of the industry, ability to navigate the maze of ticketing options, awareness of possible problems, then, skill in meeting and solving problems. Many entities, including Air Lines, Consolidators, Booking Agents - all these have their own vocabularies, procedures, schedules, problems and objectives. Years of relationships - interacting in their respective areas - is of great worth to the traveler. A Travel Consultant is as good as her/his experience, integrity and business ethics. Beth Greenhill's experience has been entirely with two institutions known world-wide for their reliability and business ethics.
